Today in class we watched a video where they asked what kids think family is. They're answers were things like married parents, live together, do activities together. This video was shown to us because family is the biggest component of socialization.
In everyday life people act on a stage to get your vote, money. Everyone is performing every day of their lifeYour behavior status is your role in the play. If people don’t earn their title in our society you will get a bad title. You must earn your role in the play, a teacher will play her role by doing her job, by teaching in school every day. All the roles in our society with act out the script in our lives. You need to build up your confidence in our society to play your role. Your role is also affected by your status in our society, you go to school, so you need to come to class preferred with your assignments, notes, and homework. The weak in our society will be eaten first because they have no power against the bigger people in life. Rich people will take all the money they can because they think they deserve it because they're wealthy. Gender, nationality, eye color are all roles you have when you are born because you can't choose them, this is what you're born into. Sexuality has a high anarchy in our society because if you decide you are gay then society is against you and you are left out because you are not what others think is normal.
This picture shows a good amount of the roles people play in life.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkmS-jTGN1A This video explains the difference between ascribed and achieved status’. Ascribed in involuntary compared to Achieved which is voluntary.
Society could help me by playing their roles the way they are supposed to. Like doctors are meant to save lives not watch people die.
Society could hurt me by not playing their roles. Construction workers could leave roads bad and I could get in an accident.
I could help society by playing my role in life the way it is supposed to be.
could hurt society by not playing my part in our society.

9/28/18   Today in class we talked about Erikson, Piaget, and Kohlberg’s theories on aging for humans. The three people have different theories on the stages of development in life. Erik so n believes you never stop developing. He has 7 different stages unlike Kohlberg having three and  P iaget who believes  you ' re  done after about age 12. In my opin i on, I believe that Erikson ' s stages make more sense. I think you truly don’t ever stop dev elo ping because throughout your life you are supposed to make dec i sions whether those d eci sions include your career, your children's car e er, or even if you are going to have children or not.  Even when you think your life is done and you can just sit back  and  relax you  can't  because you still have duties like paying bills and things like that or family to watch grow up or raise them. They also say your brain doesn’t even  develop  till the ages of about 21-25. This is crazy...
10/2/18   In class today, students went in front of the class and shared their life map projects to explain their life. They also told us about the theories that they applied to their life map stops.  We learned about the important parts in some of the students in the  class's  lives. Many had said that their birth, some birthdays, and schooling were important parts of their lives. Some had vacations on their life map as well. In my life map my 10 important stops were my birth, my sister being born, family  vacation  to  Florida , my  parents'  divorce, moving into a new house, new school, I broke some bones, 16 th  birthday, 18 th  birthday, graduation, and starting college.    We talked about how in different school stages, such as college and high school, there are different ways of learning in class and how we need to figure some things out on our own at some points in our life.    We also watch...
